Durametric on a Mac
Durametric on a Mac
Haven't seen this question lately, but I have found a nice solution.
I installed XP via Boot Camp on my Mac, and then run it under VMware Fusion. Durametric seems to work ok in this mode, no rebooting required. See photo...

Yes and no. That is "yes" it is running properly, and "no" meaning there is a loss in processor speed. I'm logging 12 functions plus time. When I run it in XP mode, I get data about every 0.5 sec. In virtual mode, it is 0.7 sec between points. It's a fairly old laptop - 2 GHz Intel core duo and 667 MHz DDRAM.

In my defense, I got an authorized copy as a promotional gift - I thought what the heck...I'm an OS X user anyways. Great googlie mooglie...what a memory hog.
Lesson of the day: If it runs on Vista, it'll run on anything.

I run the Durametric pro version on my MacBook pro with Parallels 5.0 (no Bootcamp required) running Windows XP. Works great, although I haven't tried logging 12 functions at the same time. I have a Windows laptop that I use to run VAG-COM for my Audi but only because I set that up before I got my Mac. Durametric runs well enough on my Mac that I haven't felt the need to move over to the Windows laptop.
