RWD conversion..........complete.
RWD conversion..........complete.
Today I took back my car from the shop....
- RWD conversion (complete axles/diff/shaft removal)
- Alignmnent/balancing
- new plugs and new coilpacks (she had some misfire codes in the ecu)
- boost leaks fixed
- new Michelin Pilot Sport
- engine and tranny oil change
WOW, I'm driving a different car now....in RWD it feels a lot better, more agile, more comfortable AND you can feel the little extra power put to the ground.
It may sound strange, but even at stock power level, the difference in performance can be felt.
Tomorrow I will go out for a good drive on some twisty roads, and test it a little better...
I have to say the new tires are much better than my previous Falken, they are quieter and have more grip..very nice tires.
New plugs make a difference too, the engine seems to be somewhat smoother.
Although this "service" (which included some other little things too, such as fixing some interior rattles) costed me some money, I'm very happy and the car is much much more enjoyable now..
Next works will be a custom catless exhaust and little turbo upgrade (K16 based, I haven't decided which one yet).
I know I will need a LSD and a good coilover/sway bars mod, gt3 lower arms, etc etc....but I need time....
In the meanwhile I will enjoy every single mile I put on this fantastic car.

No rear wheel drive conversion, but I put PSS10's, exhaust, UMW flash and performance clutch and it is just sensational. I feel like I have a new car (and I I have the bills to prove it), but man is it ever worth it.
