Question Silver Porsche Crest for Steering Wheel / Horn Pad

Anyone know who carries them? The only ones I've been able to find are from Automotion and Tweeks that are the glue-on kind that stick on over the embossed crest on the pad. I'm looking for one that fits perfectly into the opening after you pry out the gold one that came standard on the 996.

It is not removable, the only way to accomplish this is to replace the airbag unit... If interested PM me and I would be happy to help you out.

I purchased an aluminum look steering wheel. I used the same air bag. I just carefully pried off the gold crest and glued on the silver crest. It was fairly easy provided you take care.

Isn't a Porsche silver crest as legit as a non red, white, and blue US flag?

My 2000 C2 Aero Arena Red/Space Grey car came with a silver crest in the airbag from the factory.

So if it was, I don't think Porsche would have been using it. I did not order the silver crest it just came that way.

Be careful of that replacement crest on the airbag. If that sucker blows it might stab you in the head!

As far as I know the silver crest was only on model year 2000. Even a 2000 Boxster S has a silver crest.

If you want a silver crested air bag you should see if someone wants to swap.

I have a silver crest because my air bag came from a 2000 S.

Yes my 2000 C2 had silver on the steering wheel as well the alum shifter brake was all silver logos, later shifters had the gold crest. Me personally I prefer the black/silver wheel caps and all silver crests including the hood one from wheel enhancements or ralph boothe.
