like to see 600hp and 600 + tq. at flywheel. would like a 100 octane option too. Also, do I "need" to do clutch when I do turbos, will it save me any install time, and what clutch do you recomend, I will not be doing 1/4 mi or standing starts...well maybe once..or twice. Thanks..

We can help you reach your goals. I would recommend doing a clutch kit as well. I have seen 996TT with 600hp flywheel with a stock clutch but I have also seen them go quickly. I guess it all comes down to driving style. Some people are very nice to clutches and not so nice. We have a great clutch for that app, it drives like a factory. Depending on who does the install, you can save time by doing it now. Let me know if I could be of assistance.
Kindest Regards
We can provide you with a killer 16/16g turbo and tune package that our most recent customer saw 530whp. You will need a clutch too. Email me for a quote. Todd@vividracing.com
Most sponsors on here have a decent 16g setup... call around and go with one you feel comfortable with... many options and variables... so do your homework...

Which turbo 16 or larger
ok I'm planning a upgrade also. however research is not complete.
based on my experience with mods on all types of cars and then the upkeep. I decided to keep the power under 560. My research mentions that the smaller turbos spool more heat. Colder is best. I dont want to loose low end power.... i track my car maybe 4 De events and want low end torque also want good mid range. Do i use small turbos and upgrade Ic's for colder air or is there a larger turbo that works in all ranges low end through the power band. any feed back on what works and what is proven is appreciated.... I'm also looking for low maintenance....thx
my tt has 14,000 miles - gt brakes - upgraded Dv's Marskies quiet exhaust is next....

Yeah, so what?
Would you rather someone w/knowledge & experiance providing feedback or some schmoo that has biased opinion based on their single use experience (likely dealt with ONE of the vendors above).

Ill tell you right now that the "schmo's" that you are refereeing to are your fellow board members. There are not to many "schmoo's" that have the money to buy a 996tt and the money to modify them to the extent that the OP wants to. So I would tread carefully about what you say because I know that no one wants to be called some "schmo's" when they put all this time/money into a project. You might find it with civics but you will find very few in the Porsche world.
And I absolutly would rather base customers experience rather than a shops.
be interesting to put all different 16 g set ups on the same dyno graph for comparison? Billets?

You and the other dude called out our paying vendors (also members and big time contributors to this platform development) because they are offering information.
I'm not going to get into a pissing match, but remember that every "schmo" (including me) will go through one of these vendors to get their cars modded (be a part or expertise), so what's the problem with hearing directly from them? Are they supposed to stay out of threads? Is there anything wrong with several tuners offering a POV and customers deciding on what works for them?
Either way, I don't have anything against you or the other dude, but just thought that you guys were off with your comments.
Cheers, TK
