Do you have battery power? Did unlock the car with the remote?

All the power that is supply to those switches comes from the alarm control unit. Do you have a durametric? Production year of your car? Did you hold the switches long enough until the hood pop-out?

I think your alarm system is at fault because the triggering of the electrical hood release goes through the alarm control unit. If you got a tiptronic remove fuse #B8 and if you got a manual fuse# C3. Also look at the condition of that fuse. .. Just remove the fuse for 10 seconds and back on...

Did you ever open the hood using the emergency release cable hidden under the right main headlight assembly?

Also try locking/unlocking the door with your key (insert key into the lock). My key fob sometimes will not unlock / lock the doors, and if I do that, it resets it...

Last suggestion before I go to bed. After you try what raineycd is suggesting. If you still have the same problem you can open the hood with a cable hidden under the right fender. You have to remove the plastic cover in front of the wheel and found a small metal cable. You pull on that cable to open the hood. After that disconnect the battery for a minute (you will need your radio code) and after try your switches again.... See dogdelta post to locate wire:https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...pen-trunk.html

pulled the seat out and checked the alarm ecu for water damage, found the 15 amp fuse on the box was blown, replaced and it all worked!

Working at a shop I've seen many many boxsters come in with critter damage. mice love to make a home on the oil cooler under the intake manifold haha

Hello, I do have a 987 Cayman S, No power on the battery, and no reaction when clicking the front hood button.. Then I did open up at the front left wheel to unlock the hood using the emergency, but I was not able to release it. I gaveit a fair/hard tug grabbing it with a plier, but unfortunately no luck ...

Can the alarm system block the emergency release??

Any suggestions on what to do then?
