The difficulty we encounter Pumalex and I was really with the clutch fork

It's just a PITA lining everything up and sliding it back in properly. You have to be perfectly lined up or it will just bind up. The motor is obviously tilted down at the tranny end to slide the tranny out.

Then the other fun part is putting the clutch fork pin in. You have to bear hug the tranny from both sides and wiggle the clutch fork a tad to get the pin in. I use the 993 clutch fork pin as that part does not have the pin bearings which tend to fall off if you mess around too much putting it in.

Once the pin is back in it's easy after that.

Phew, I thought with all that talk of hugging the tranny and wiggles and crutches sorry clutches ... I didn't know where the topic was heading.
Its a good thing to know though. I have a Tip, so I'm sure there must be even more snags and problems to learn about. But as to the general principal... Good one. Cheers for the info.
