3M wrap on a white car? Long term yellowing?

I heard this might yellow over time. Anyone with first hand experience as I'm thinking of using Mariano.

Thx.

Mine is definetly yellowing a bit. been on since 05 only 12k miles spent most of it's life in Fla. Hopefully the newer products have better resistance to yellowing.

I think it depends on if it's kept in a garage or kept in the sun. Mine is always in the garage and I don't notice any yellowing after 3 years. Also car color will come into play as it will be much more noticeable on a white car.

Have you ever had any peeling or loose edge issues?

No, install was great, still looks good no peeling or lifting.

If you are going to wrap your car, nothing is better than the 3M products. The only drawback is the 3M film is not big/wide enough to cover the full hood. Mariano refilmed my bumpper a couple of months ago; he does very good work (and slow, remember to allocate much extra time for him). I still need to contact him to trim the film around the mirrors.

Are you doing partial hood or full hood? I wouldn't do a full hood with 3M because I don't want to see the lines in the corner (like Mariano suggested).

I was going to do the bumper, full hood, fenders and mirrors. He did mention there would be lines in the corner but my current (cheap, precut) wrap is only partial hood and I don't like it as it's right in the middle of the hood. How far does yours run up the hood?

He said he'd be at the Palo Alto Concours this weekend so I'm hoping to see some samples and maybe a 99X with the full hood wrap.

Thanks.

I have seen one full hood done by him on a Boxster (about the same size as 911); the film can go all the way up in the middle of the hood, but it is not long enough for the two corners (about 3-4" short, not across the hood, just in the corner areas, think of a triangle with 3-4" on each side).

If you are willing to go with the non-3M products, he can use the exact same film that Premier uses. However, when you compare them side by side, you can tell which product is better (even with my old eyes).

btw, I have partial right now (not done by Mariano) and it covers more than half of my hood (maybe 3 more).
