AMV8 Dealer Preview Pic's

Let me start by saying that this is absolutely NOT the color for this car. This is the final product. Now that I see it, I am giving a second thought to that 997 with the Techart Body kit I was going to pull the trigger on. My deposit has been sitting there for a long time, I am not giving up hope till I see it in person. The interior looks promising, But the latest stat's are a little less promising than origionally anticipated.

380bhp
410 lb ft of torque
1570 kg
0-60 mph 4.8
0-100 mph 10.7
30-70 mph faster than new 911 C2S
Lap Nurburghring in 8.07 mins (8.05 for C2S and 8.01 for DB9)
Externally very similar to concept, but different wheels
Similar interior to DB9 except different steering wheel and wood on dash replaced by metal or carbon fibre as standard with wood as option.

1. Slower around Nurburgring than 997S (which is as fast as 7:59 with sport)
2. Slower around Nurburgring than much heavier DB9, SL55AMG, 575 Maranello
3. 0-60 time is slower than 997, 997S, M3, 360, Gallardo, C6, etc.
4. 100+kg heavier than 997, 360, Gallardo, C6.

I will cross my fingers and hope that a Supercharged version will be available. Looks like this car wont be winning many drag races, Even if it looks great going down the road.
Metallic Canary yellow

Looks nice... just wondering, is the engine entirely aston developed and produced, or is it based off of a Ford engine?

Yeah, They look cheap as hell. The ones on the concept will be an upgrade.

OMG!! Looks so boring!! How could they do that? It does look good, but is terribly bland! Perhaps it's the color, or the wheels, but it really looks like a Hyundai Tiburon cateogry kind of car (when it is obviously not!)!!!
Come on, Aston ... I hope the guy that thought of presenting a yellow car is trying to apply somewhere for a job.

Can't wait to see it with a beautiful color.

FWIW, the 997 Techart looks heaps better than this AMV8

When I saw the new Jag in AutoWeek, all I thought of was that it was a direct ripoff of the AMV8, and Ford is now just doing what it did in the 80's, trying to get the most out of one design by using it in several cars. (Ford-Mercury had identical cars throughout the 80's)

It's probably the colour that's making it look boring. As for performance, I hope that it's better than this because with the 997 around, it'll make it that much harder for the AMV8 to shine. Looking at this car, I'd seriously consider either the 997S or the Maserati Gransport instead of it.

that shade of yellow is wrong for that car. titanium silver with red leather would be nice.

aston martin is not a flashy type of car and neither are it's owners. therefore, it's subdued design will appeal only to those who want to own a car that they enjoy driving themselves for the quality of the build (hopefully "quality" will prove to be the correct word chosen here) and owners who enjoy the product for themselves without concern for what others opinion are.
"low key" is the appropriate term to describe this vehicle. i am sure it is a fantastic driving car to those who are not so concerned with overall-elapsed-lap times.

I love it. When will they be available? I'm considering this or the DB9 -
