Not sure what tool to use to remove the two red quick connects (I assume thats what they are) on the power steering pump?
Going to attempt gt2 slave mod and would hate to break anything else in the process.
Thanks and if you know any other special tools I might need any info would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to get arms deep and realize I need a widget. Been there before as we all have and it can be very annoying.
Let me know

Done this before myself. You need two sets of hands, one person pushes the red sleeve in on either side with flat blade screwdrivers while the other person pushes the pipe in and then out in a swift motion. I have done it by myself but it easier with two peeps.

It's not hard to do, it just takes a bit of practice and good fortune to get it out first time. No special tool is required.

Good luck,

Ben

They have color coded ones and you can also pick up a set at pep boys or any auto parts store probably for under $10. Makes it a very simple task.

thats what I got, and your diy on another porsche site for removal of the slave and accumulator will be a great help. But just curious if you lowered the tranny at all to allow some more space and if so how? Or is it a pain but not terrible difficult leaving it were it sits(tranny wise).
thanks again

I did not lower the transmission simply because I have used the "Repair manual" as a guide and they don't mention this approach. The slave was my first mechanical job on the TT and I was cautious about everything .

I too didn't lower the transmission. I was able to get my hands up there and remove everything. Some of them took a while as you can only really turn them 1/4 turn and then have to reposition.

One thing that i did was to remove the green line from the hardline coming from the front reservior. Then I took the entire slave out with the green line attached to it and removed the green line on my bench. Made it a little easier as mine was SUPER tight and very difficult to get a hold of.
