That's who it was - John. I couldn't remember where I had heard / read the lift = no removal of anything technique. Thanks for the memory job.

I'm really surprised you can access everything with a lift without taking the heat shields and intercoolers out of the way. I even had a hard time making sure the coil packs snapped back into the socket and I even have small hands!

Not having to remove all the extraneous real estate would be nice- can you do it with just jack stands and a creeper?

I was surprised, too. My shop told me they just put it on the lift and do it, then showed me by removing the first one. They were busy, so I did the other five myself and it went very well with no problems. I did have to remove the shields that are right in front of the plugs. They come off very easily, two bolts, IIRC.

I have never tried it with a creeper, but I would say if you can get under the car, it would be the same as on a lift, just a little uncomfortable.

We did plugs and coils this way. I have done it the other way several times and this is a lot easier.
