Stock Wheel Lugs $10 ea !?!?!?! WTF!

Hey Guys- so my car came with HRE wheels on some spacers. I decided to start running my stock wheels for autox/track days and during fitment I noted the black bolts that came with my car are way longer than required (HRE wheel plus spacer). Called the dealer- $10 a bolt!? Seriously that's $250 for a set of crappy steel wheel lugs... what a punishment.

You can get a set of polished stainless steel lug bolts from maxspeed in Canada for $250.00. They are really nice. Porsche is crazy with their price for stock lug bolts.

Have you seen the price of the Titanium lugs? Oh my!

What size spacers are you running on the HRE's. I run 7mm Front and 15mm rear spacers on my stock rims. I like the feel of the car and stance is nice. I picked my spacers up from RSS. See if you can use them on the stock rims.

Try your local indy shop. They always seem to have some extra lug bolts around. Used, but hopefully cheaper than $10 each.

I just had my indie shop order 50mm bolts for my rear hollow spokes--running with 15mm spacers. Apparently, the bolts I had in there were only engaging with about 3-4 mm

I'm thinking that Porsche probably over-engineers their lugbolts as they do with a lot of their stuff. Considering the bolts are the only things holding my wheels on in the high speed corners, I'll happily pay the Porsche tax

Suncoast is by far the best, at least on the east coast.

My Lexus lugnuts are around $6.00 each, while $10.00 is expensive, however, car also cost 4.5x what the Lexus did...

I usually talk with Jeff Clark at Sunset imports on the west coast.

Page not sure about the size or source (came with car). I'll try to get in there with the stockers this weekend and see if they work with the longer lugs/spacers.
