Question Conditioning Full Laether???

What's the best stuff to clean and condition the full leather interior??? I do not want any gloss what so ever. I would like the leather to remain flat, not glossy in appearence, like it is fresh out of the factory. I saw a guy who swears by Griot's stuff..but I thought it looked bad...glossy and uneven in appearence...

I like using Meguiars Leather Conditioner paste. It leaves the serface soft and cleans it very well. Smells great too. GT2GRL swears by Leatherique, haven't tried it.

I use Zainos leather conditioning product, it does a great job, no greasy feel and it smells just like brand new leather. Try it you will love it.
Rockit man did you purchase the gt3 from Langdon(?) in schenectady.

I use Zaino on the outside... So the Zaino for leather leather does not add gloss to the appearence correct???

Im from the Syracuse area. I was in Schenectady a few weeks ago, spoke with the salesman (Adrian) and was suppose to look at their 03 Turbo and 04 GT3 but someone (YOU !!!) just bought the GT3. I have used Zaino products and love it, just be sure not to use to much leather conditioner or it will leave a sheen, the aroma alone is worth it.
Congratulations on your new car, drive safely.

I use the Griot's product.

It sounds like your friend is not applying and removing the product correctly.

The product is supposed to be wiped off after letting it sit. Most of the gloss appearance then disappears.

Plus is has a great leather smell.

I agree with PERIOKID, I use the Griots and the product is fantastic, whoever you saw used it didnt apply it properly, it needs to cover the surface fully and also be buffed in after it soaks in, doesnt at all look glossy but you notice a night and day change from before you applied it, lasts long as well.

the best stuff is leatherique, imo.

it has a solid following in the ferrari and rolls royce circles, both of which use/used connolly leather on their cars.

they've got a "rejuvenator" that you let soak in and it helps all the crud loosen up and fluids to rise. then a "cleaner" to do basic cleaning and cleaning of all that crud the rejuvenator kicks out.

i never used it on my 996s, but i'm quite happy with how it works on the f-cars.

fwiw,
doody.

Does it make the leather glossy??? This is something I am trying to avoid, for I like the flat factory look. Thanks

imo, no, it does not make the leather "glossy". i have seen treatments that do that (connolly hide food has a bit of a tendency to do that) and imo (IMO - YMMV!) leatherique does not. i just did a treatment on the entire interior of my 355 (which is freakin' ALL leather - more annoying than helpful, truth be told) and i think the leather looks "pure stock", just cleaner and more pliable.

you might try asking that particular question over on http://www.ferrarichat.com/ - numerous folks can probably answer that better than i.

good luck.

doody.

If it's good enough for Ferrari...It has to be good enough for Porsche. Leatherique it is!!!

Here is a link I saw on the subject that compared some other brands, fyi
