How to disassemble headlights?

I'm having an issue with my headlight turning off. I tracked the problem down to a lose connection between pin #12 and the wiring inside the headlight. Rather than just splicing the wires to a good ground (#3), I would rather get behind the plug to find the problem.

Does anyone know how to take apart the headlight assembly?

Thanks

You don't want to do it. I have taken apart the headlights on 4 of my cars to paint the reflector and chrome trim black. The porsche light was by far the worst.

If you want to brave it anyway, take the allen bolts out from the rear of the light and heat your oven to 500 degrees. Bake the light for 5-10 minutes, or until the glue holding the lense on the carrier starts to melt. Take a heat gun and work the glue while you pry the lens off. That's basically it, but you will find that it's really not that easy with the glue they used and the shape of our lights.

You are right. That's not something I want to do. lol

I would like to move somethings out of the way to see if I can get a better view. How does the connector for the flaper (under the low beam) come out?

I really dont remember how the back works out. I had one goal in mind and that was to remove the lense.
