Hey guys my father is looking at a 996 Turbo S on ebay:

Just seeing what would be a good offer to make on a car like that? We have not had a ppi or anything.
Thanks for the help as always!!

I know the 2005 was a slow year (ie less production) but I really don't see how it translates into huge prices....
The same car (2005 S, <9k miles, cab, great mods) has been languishing in classified and ebay at $84900 for quite some time.
~75k IMO. Unless they find a buyer that just must have it. Also, I like tan- even better is the Natural brown leather, but many buyers will not agree.

Thanks guys!! I told him to shoot for around 75k and keep our fingers crossed that he finally becomes part of the Porsche family. It would be his first 911..
I do agree with above posts, but I remember seeing a few sellers going as low as 69-71 for around the same miles/condition. However, this is a special car and I can understand giving in to a few k more to get the car you want.
BTW- im Danny from SI NY, going to call you for some brakes soon lol
Good luck to you and your dad with the new purchase

that dealer is local to me and I was very close to buying a 996 GT2 they had there a few months ago.
All I can say that it's a very clean and honest looking dealership and the cars they had there all seemed in excellent condition.

I had the same though...someone posts $85k and my thought was "thats GT2 pricing"...and not salvage, but clean and decent miles too.
