Fitting 335/30/18 Toyo R888 in the rear

In my quest to get better traction I have optioned for a set of the new lightweight Forgestar F14s with some sticky R888 tires 245/335. I am wondering if anyone else has installed this setup and how they modified the inner plastics. I test fitted the rears last night and I see I need to either cut out or reshape the liners. I am worried about the lower IC hose vulnerability to road debris without the liners. And yes, I have the fenders rolled and -1.8 camber in the rear. Any thoughts?

Here are some pics comparing my 19X11" with 315/25 to the new 18X12" with 335/30:

what offsets do you have on your rear rims? Thoughts on spacers to help push out the rims a little? Personally I'm not a fan of spacers.

Can't remember where I read it but one guy said he heated up the fender well material to reshape it. Good luck, those tires are wide. I stuck with the 315's myself.

how's the offset on the wheels. if it's not to agressive I would space them out to be as far out as you can without the tire grabbing the quarter panel and then go to work on the fender liner. heat it up or/and cut. one thing to watch out for is that charge-pipe....dont wanna rub through that.

If you are running road courses, I hate to say it, but you are going to wrong way with this mod. I see in your sig you have a set of JIC coilovers...but no mention of a set of proper sway bars. It's a common misconception, but proper sway bars play a FAR great role in producing cornering grip as well as making the car more planted and confident while doing so. With the chassis properly setup, you'll be able to cut your lap times with tires that are OEM size.
so, what is the stock sway bar size and what size sway bar do you recommend?

is the front or rear more important?

Take a heat gun to the rear fender liners, where the tires make contact. When hot and pliable, push in the plastic with something like a baseball. Hold that position until the plastic cools and will hold the shape. I moved the lower attachment point, for the drivers side, back about 1". ALSO, Before heating the plastic, bend the fender liner brackets back/inward 3/4" to 1". I actually removed the flimsy bracket on the drivers side, which seems to have the most clearance issues. Camber set for -2.0 all around.

While TPC certainly has an impressive racing pedigree and turns some of that knowledge and expertise into consumer products, wouldn't it be fair to state that GMG does as well? Not looking to start anything; just mentioning it. Agree completely with your main point, however: sway bars are a terrific suspension mod for most any vehicle - especially if your stock bars are non-adjustable (as most seem to be). Should be on any enthusiast's short list, if they hold an appreciation for handling performance and lateral grip.

I used GT3 swaybars with The Racers Group curved front drop links. They seems to do a good job. I think they were about $400 for the pair. I would be interested hearing what the more expensive units from TPCRacing bring to the table.

No problem. I put that together a few years ago for Tom Kerr when he was interested in getting into the same sizes we have.
