Wing warning
After washing and drying off my 2001 996TT I left the wing up for drying and put the car away without driving it for a couple of weeks (I left the wing up for drying) when I did go to use the car my wing would not go back down manually with the wing switch. After taking the car out it did return to it's down position when I slowed down but the wing malfunction warning came on. The wing is working normal now going up and down as usual but when it does first goes up the warning will come on and stay on until I turn the car off. The wing switch is working for up and down and the wing goes up at speed and return down when I slow down, my problem is the wing warning stays on until I do a restart. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
when your wing goes up or down it triggers a code . as i remember if it falls short of tripping the switch it will show a code, mine was off adjustment byan 8th of an inch ond on came the code..... if it goes up and down ok assume your fluid level is a tad low
I left my wing up for about 2 months when I didn't drive it.. and same exact thing. I think the hydraulic fluid leaked.. (i don't know) but it never worked again afterwards.
If your not gonna drive the car for awhile.. make sure that wing is down. Such a pos from porsche.. way too many wings w/ issues
