I like it a lot. Especially the valet and anti-theft modes. I went to their website and see that a local tuner offers that, they only show pricing/tune it for 996 Turbo in stock form thou so, I could be wrong but It's probably just a blanket out of the box tune.

 

I had a custom Autospeed tune on my old Audi B5 S4, they are very capable, just don't think they focus on the Porsche stuff. Would be cool if they licensed this to other tuners. EPL seems to be fairly cutting edge on the tech stuff, maybe they will come out with something similar.

During the video...it shows the main screen of the software, looks to show a gt2 or a TT... are you saying this doesnt work on a porsche?

 

Sorry...I now realize that you guys wish that aftermarket tuners made such software. ignore my last post.

Their website claims the following numbers with their tunes... I was under the impression you needed DVs at a minimum to produce some of these numbers

Nice program, love the valet and theft modes. I never Valet knowing what could happen if they went for a joy ride even around the parking lot.

 

DVs dont make power. They are an item that will eventually fail on these cars so people replace them when they rasie boost levels.

 

I don't think they focus on the Porsche market from what I know. So yes you can probably get an OTS K16 and possibly an GT2/X50 K24 tune from them and use this setup. But I'm guessing everyone fairly comfortable with the tune they have from the more prominent Porsche tuners.

I just thought it was a sweet setup and wanted to share. Maybe something similar will catch on with other tuners.

 

GIAC has had a hand held controller for tunes forever. You get pump, pump tuned, race gas, valet and kill modes.

You can scan codes and log with a Durametric or use a Brockway for constant display purposes.

 

I wonder if UMW will consider doing something like that one day. My buddy loves his UMW tune although it's slower than my EPL.
