Completely outclassed......
I came by an F-50 in July...there was traffic though (thank God) so we did not go at it...he just revved his car which had Tubi straight pipes!! The sound alone put my little TT in place..
That is not just a McLaren F1, That is a Mclaren F1 LM!!!!
That is Mclarens version of a GT3 in the Porsche world.
Here's the difference, This is your run of the mill F1

Also tach on another $150,000... At Least!
And here is the LM! My favorite car ... Period!

And here is a little more info about the Red beast you saw!
F1 LM
The LM is the most powerful and most accelerative F1 of all. Basically, it is the street version of the GTR ’95 race car, which won Le Mans in 1995. The removal of air restrictors enable the V12 engine to output 680 hp instead of GTR’s 600 hp or normal F1’s 627 hp. Besides, it retained GTR’s weight saving measures such as the deletion of equipment, electric aerodynamic aids and the use of lighter trimming. Fan-assisted ground effect and automatic rear spoiler were replaced by a simple and effective big rear wing which increased downforce a lot in the expense of top speed. That said, the F1 LM could barely reach 225 mph, according to McLaren.
However, weighing just 1062 kg, it is 76 kg lighter than the F1 yet has more punch. Therefore acceleration should be even more astonishing. In November, 1999, CAR magazine witnessed McLaren’s test driver Andy Wallace driving the F1 LM set the world record for 0-100mph-0 in 11.5 sec. The previous record, as I know, was set by Caterham Seven JPE (a 250hp superlight weight launched in 1992) with a time of 12.41.

Unfortunately there's a Federalized McClaren in my neighborhood. So, on any given day, I guess I could have my socks (shoes, and other assorted bits) blown off.
On the other hand... I used to lap drivers of much faster cars in my 120 hp Spec RX7. (In your case, Jeru, that's no consolation as Nick Mason is a decent vintage racer.)

Jeru,
That car is not an LM. There were only 5 LM's built to commemorate the Le Mans victory. They are all McLaren Orange.
Having said that, McLaren will do just about anything to the car as long as you have the money. And since Nick Mason helped McLaren with some development work on the F1, he has the connections to get what he wants.
It is still not an original LM though. This is by no means definitive evidence, but the windscreen has "gtr" on it. The pic of the LM you posted has "LM" on its windscreen. That would lead me to believe it is a GTR, especially since it is the wrong color for an LM.

Nice neighborhood. I wonder how ugly it would be if you got a chance to play with that F1. How far off of the McLaren's 135 MPH 1/4 mile trap speed is your modded 996?

.But, seriously, I'd love to give it a go versus his McLaren or Enzo just for the heck of it!
The Stage 4 GT should be in the mid 11s with street tires and a half decent driver. The McLaren and Enzo are both quicker, assuming a good driver. However, I bet they are much harder to launch effectively. And being able to afford a McLaren and an Enzo in no way assures that he is a good driver...
So, I might have a chance...
Any chance meetings with the F1 or Enzo would probably be from a roll in which case the published trap speeds might be a better indicator as to how things would go than the elapsed times which are much more driver dependent. You should offer to run his McLaren against his Enzo for him.

On the other hand, in second gear when the roads are cold this winter, he'd slither like a snake while I'd have a much better shot at hooking up. So, maybe I'd still have a shot over a brief distance. But much beyond 100 and he'd show me tail light in a hurry.I think trap speeds are about 125-126 for the stage 4gt. Obviously higher for the McLaren and Enzo.

I don't believe the McLaren would either.
