Sportec 911 GT2

My new Road and Track has a Sportec 911 GT2. 700 hp and 568 ft lb of torque. Consists of new ECU, custom intercooled turbocharger, intake manifold, titanium connecting rods, modified camshafts and much more. In less than 7 seconds you are past the century mark. Car will do 217 mph. Includes suspension and 15 inch brake upgrade. All this for only $82,244 (price of car not included!)

www.sportecusa.com

Seems a bit steep to me??

Actually, that's not bad considering that there is work done to the motor internals.

Put it this way, that car will be far more reliable and probably faster than your car, my car, or even cjv's without the giggle gas, in which case the former point about reliability still applies.

i'd be scared of much more and RWD, but I could be a wimp

I think it's a good balance of power. I'd be real interested in dyno stats.

My last Ruf Turbo that was the cover car for R&T world's best cars. Beat out Lambo, Ferrari, BMW, etc perfect 100 out of 100 points.

Looking to buy a new one, but want to see what this Sporttec company has

Thanks!

The Sportec would still be treated to a distant view of my logo.

Those wheels look incredible but they're not light and the deep dish doesn't seem to have remained in the design. You may find some weight info. by doing a search for sportec in this forum.

Yeah, but then again the engine would last a lot longer under sustained use too.

We also don't know what the area under its power curve looks like either.

Don't count out Sportec just yet, they also have an 850hp conversion which is supposed to be an absolute monster.

Hamann,

My second motor has been engined dyno'ed. Their 850 bhp wouldn't even come close. I'm pulling more in rwhp then they are in bhp. Last longer under sustained use (rpm range per rpm range) I doubt it. As for engine number one, the torque is currently a "flat liner" from 3800 thru 7000 rpm's.
