for those who have switched from 2.5" to 3", was it a noticable gain?
while switching I will also be going from 200 CEL cats to 100 CEL cats.
What can I expect? (other than a louder system)
We offer both 2.5" and 3" X-flow systems. I have switched back and forth from 3" to 2.5" several times during testing sessions and can not detect any difference at all with K24/18G turbos...cat cell count being equal.

However, the difference between 100 and 200 cell cats is noticable. The car feels fresher, throttle response is improved and the turbos spool quicker with 100 cell cats - again, a very noticeable upgrade when going to 100 cell cats.

I went from a GT2 exhaust w/ 100 cel cats to Markski's set up with 4 mufflers and no cats (for the texas mile) and immediately saw a slight difference in spool time but a big difference in SOUND.

But it's not what you think....Marek's is actually a bit quieter!

It's definitely more exotic sounding but overall much less harsh than the GT2. I'm not sure if the GT2 was 2.5" or 2 7/8" but it was a bit on the obnoxious side .

I can still set off alarms in the parking garage, but it purrs for the most part. In fact I'm thinking of sending back to Mark and have him pull two of the mufflers....

Overall I'm really happy with the sound and performance and drone is nil over 2500 rpm.

Markski... Which of
Your exhaust do u recommend for a tiptronic with 5-600 rwhp I prefer a louder aggressive sound but minimal drone. I had fabspeed cat bypass on C2 and loved it. I know speedtech recommends their 2.5 xflow. Any comments welcome

I have a few clinets running same set up.. and since I make them per order I can play with the sound by changing ODs, muffler components, etc etc

And the gearbox? They say 500-500whp is the maximum power that the tip can handle but watch the torque too!

Rpi is LOUD, I had one. And it's super droney in the 2-3k range. Not for the faint at heart at least in my opinion. But it sounded super mean at wot and had a nice burble, it was 3 inch straight thru design. Felt like it made power(butt dyno) but it kind of took the fun out of driving the car as it was too loud and you couldn't drive around in the 2-3 k range as the drone would rattle your teeth lose. Definitely not wife approved.
