It was really easy. I had some leftover satin black paint, cleaned and sprayed the emblem and let it dry in the sun for a little bit.
Hardest part was getting the adhesive off the car. I think there is a DIY on removal, basically heat it with a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive, then take floss or fishing line and saw it off as close to the paint as you can get. I then used the handle of a plastic fork to scrape the leftover adhesive and backing off. Then some goof off and polishing wax to remove the rest of the stuff.
I then cleaned the surface again with goof off, then windex so the new one would adhere.

I did the same and helped a friend do it on his car. One of my favorite exterior mods. If you have the black wheels, black tips theme going on, this is a no brainer and really completes teh look. I'm actually going to go pick up a front hood emblem from my local wrecker and try to paint it black as well to see how it turns out!
