Kept thinking as long as get launch right and home safely into 2nd gear i will be fine.
Must have been the drag fairy on my side
The GT3 driver had an amazing sense of humour,by the start of the 3rd run he says to me"will be right behind you".A gentleman, true and true.

Another point; what do you think running with the PSM "on" cost the Turbo?
P.S. A good Turbo driver can get 12.2 no problem.

Can you give me a guess as to how many car lengths back the GT3 was at the end of the quarter on the first and second runs?

Leaving PSM "on" hurt you. I know this for a fact as I have tested both methods at the strip. Try it without PSM on next time.
Also, what 60ft times did you pull? Those are the very "telling" factors along with the ETs.

win is win lose is lose what do i care. the fact is, human is not machine maybe u can feel the .2, .3 second i can't.
i'm not a good driver but i'm smart enough not to waste my clutch like i stole it. yes, there are too many would'of could'of should'of so let's talk about the fact.
btw, i don't have a rice shop but IF i spend 20k in the EVO i'D be the fastest motherfFker on the strip.
now let the fight start!
now Noel it's u surprised me that u made it this far cuz u know better the 3 is not for the drag. in fact, no Porsche is...

You should have driven your friend's GT3 and let him drive your Turbo to compare the difference in driver skill.
Also, is your Turbo running K16 turbos or is it the X-50 pack with K24's?
Arling, GT3 is not for drag but it should be faster than a K-16 based 996TT in a straight.

I also agree that in a straight, a standard, non-modified TT would be slower than a GT3, particularly because of the even power band and the 8200 redline, allowing more time before a shift is necessary and providing power longer.
