Euro Sport Suspension
Euro Sport Suspension
I think this is called the X71 suspension offered to 996tt in Europe. Anyone have any thoughts on this. I talked to the guys over at TPC whose local to me, and they said it was a good setup for a road car that sees more street time than track. I am considering one car with this suspension package. Was wondering how it faired to say a Bilstien Pss9/Pss10 or any other similar suspension. Any ideas in comparison in terms of both performance and stance/ride height as well as road feel. The car will be used mostly for street but will be on track a few times a year when I am instructing at PCA driving events.
Oh and any pictures would help tremendously as well.
thanks guys

it is better then stock but its not something i would go out of my way to get. pss9 and pss10 are a decent upgrade from this setup

I dunno if it's coded asX71 or X73...I was just told it's the Euro suspension only offered in Europe. The setup is apparently a matched system with suspension and sway bars, end links etc...
Anyone have any pics of this on their 996tt?

X73 is sport suspension for 996 turbo. I'm thinking when I modify, I'll go this route as my car is primarily street with 3-5 track days per year. Don't need an adjustable set for my purposes, and the engineering should be spot on.
Somebody told me today that it makes the 996TT ride height similar to that of a factory GT2, I dunno though as I've not seen this suspension on a car

Hey Sunir...
ROW is a euro suspension that is 20mm lower than stock US and about 10% firmer. Porsche being the way they are - the entire system is matched (sways, shocks, and spec'd individually for tip/cab/AWD, 2WD exc...) The US cars wrer spec'd higher for DOT and bumper standards. Harder it to get now. X-73 is a factory US option with GT-2 ride height and linear rates about 20% stiffer. Bilstein sport shocks and sport motor mounts too. There is even an X-73 alignment spec. I love that kit. Feels like a PSS-9 on the 5-6 setting which is where most leave it anyhow. Very nice street/club sport set up.
And yes JG...it really feels spot on. You know that was tuned right.
