Injectors install ... what a PITA !
Injectors install ... what a PITA !
Just finished the injectors install ... they are 72 lbs Bosch from Tony !
I have used all the DIY of the forum and all were very helpful ... but, to do this job you need more than skill ... you need fortune, patience ...but, at the end, it's a PITA ... PITA ... PITA ... PITA !!!
Did i say PITA ?
Anyway, now that everything has gone to the right place i wouldn't do it again !!!
Now the car sits in the box waiting for the right tune ... next week!
And, here it comes the question, that probably has nothing to do with the injectors ... during the installation i had to lift the right side of the car to take apart the right intercooler to reach the coil plugs and disconnect them because they didn't allow to take the fuel rail from the engine bay.
Well, during this operation i have noticed that the water level in the cooler expansion tank was a little bit low (due to the inclination of the car) ... so, when i put down the car to start the engine came immediately a flashing light in the water temperature gauge.
The manual says that this light comes for 2 reasons, if the temperature is too high (and this is not the case) or if the level of the water is too low.
So, i immediately added the quantity to reach the max level but the light stays on even if i switch off/on the car.
Does anybody know if it's necessary to disconnect the battery to erase the message or could have i touched some sensor or plug during the installation of the injectors ?
I have checked the level sensor and it's in place ... so, i don't know where to look now ?
Any input appreciated !!!
Did i say it was a PITAAAAAAAA ?!!!!

The problem is that this is a job where nothing has to go in the wrong way ... but the main problem is the lack of space !
I did it without lowering the engine but if you have very big hands this is not your job !
No special tools and the procedures - DIY injectors install tips - made by EPL and Skandalis are just perfect
CHeck to make sure you didn't bump/disconnect the coolant level sensor switch on the bottom of the tank.

) the second could be the temperature sensor right behind the alternator ... i could have touched the connector without knowing it !
aftermarket injectors are cheap insurance for your fuel system to work properly paired with a proper tune.
