must have suspension mods???

I would like to improve my 03 996 tt suspension.
I am saving up and would like a rough idea of the cost
some say...coilovers, sway bars, dog bones...

what are the most important mods? please list in order of importance with approx cost of brand and/or part and labour?
it would also be helpful to know which brand is preferred...ie Bilstien or KW etc...

I'm not an authority on this subject but I know those that are will ask you how you plan to use the car before they give recommendations. Track junkie? Occasional track? Street? Street aggressive or pretty much in a law abiding way?

Good start would be a set of sway bars, and a set of H&R springs less then 1k without install and if you still want more jump into a set of coilovers 2-5k pss10,jic, kw, JRZ, Moton

W/ just a rear sway, adj rear drop links, and springs... Will you need to change anything else to keep the tires from wearing out faster then the stock suspension and ride height?

After what I just seen on my own car I would replace the rubber bushing in the lower control arms(all four points) first. There is about 6mm of free play forward and aft before the wishbone stops the arm from swinging. That is a lot of play that changes your toe/camber/caster noticeably!

you could use urethane bushings like the Powerflex. Or you can buy solid bushings from many vendors here.

I think incrementat changes are best...decide what you want out of the car first and how extreme you are willing to go with it...I would start with sway bars and then some chassis bushings etc...you can go matched set spering shock (fixed damping) or if you have the time and money you may like fully adj dampers with threaded bodies and adj perches. I wouldn't do this until you have really developed a feel for the car though...

Adjustable rear toe arms and a Gt2 rear sway bar, with a good alignment. Lowering springs and front lower control arms for more camber if needed.

X73 in the long run is the easiest solution (no guess work). Otherwise plan on coil overs (PSS10 are a good street/ light track option), sway bars, adjustable rear upper control arms, adjustable rear toe link, rear drop links. Install with alignment and corner balance about $5k.

It all depends on how much the rear is lowered. The factory eccentrics have very little adjustment to them and you usually end up with too much camber and/or toe.
