GT2 to Gallardo....looking for advice!!
I drove a '06 Gall. spyder for a day, and the looks and sound are unmatched by any 996. Have both chics, get the Lambo, and add the twin turbo kit I saw on one at SEMA, and there you have it.
Would be willing to bet the tech was talking about a Diablo Lambo model. If he was talking about the Gallardo my advice would be to find a new tech that knows the different models
. The G is very similar in reliability to the 911TT. I'm planning to do the TURBO conversion on the G from underground racing 1000 hp. Turns the G into the sickest car on the planet.

UGR comes with a 3 year warranty
LOL! That must be why people are switching from a heffner kit to ugr kits by the flock. Theres 4 cars there right now switching from one kit to a ugr kit. Id hate to spend 120k then have to spend 120k again because you arent happy. This makes only one good point. A heffner kit will soon be avaible as a "bolt on kit" because of all the unhappy customers who switched to ugr and have the kit taking up room in their garage.

You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Do us all a favor...don't post here anymore until you actually learn the specifics if the offerings for the G...

Lets bump this thread, and get it back on topic.
Any past Porsche owners want to chime in on different seating positions, I sat in a Gallardo the other day and it felt very awkward for the short time I was in it.
I am also 6'4 and 200 lbs.
I hear manual seats are the way to go for the taller guys.

The advantage of the GT2 is the cost. You can get good low mileage examples for $70k, and for less than $30K more have a car that makes 800 on race gas, 620 or so on pump and is Uber reliable. My car is never in the shop except for upgrades or routine maintenance.
Now if I had the disposable cash, I would spend the quarter million for the Lambo and the full Monty UGR 1500 hp car.
I would need a lot more than my little college teaching job and rental income however. I would need college president cash and the money I was making in real estate from 2000 to 2006 to do the lambo TT.
For me it is a cash thing, IMO.

I love the G. Aesthetically speaking, probably my favorite care of all time. Seriously, I like the looks that much. And, relatively speaking, I've heard they are actually fairly reliable. For me the problem comes when you have a major problem, or heaven for bid, a cracked windsheild (i.e., I've heard they are around 7k...I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong). No thanks. (At least no thanks 'till everything else is paid off and my disposable income doubles!).
One of my friends had a Diablo for a short period
He cracked the bumper on a speed bump
I can't remember the exact amount it cost him, but i know it was more than you guys are saying a clutch would cost!!
(off topic - another friend used to have an old beetle. It was so low that he once opened the door and it hit the curb!!
