Thanks everyone...

Keep in mind the asking price is 115. They can ask whatever they want. I have not offered anything on the car.

While it is true that most here would favor the TT, I find that a lot here will be pretty objective.

BTW BCS996TT, the m roadster is gone, as is my 944 T. The C6 is one the way, and I still want it (say what you will).

This whole thing was just a thought as I saw the car and thought it was a beauty.

I passed on a perfect 1 owner Z8 last year with 1,000 miles... $108k. That car is 10k overpriced imo.
OMG I couldn't agree more!

Is that the C6 Zo6? I hear they will be debuting at the 12 hours of Sebring in a week.

No, not a Z06. Maybe someday.

yep, you can probably sell it for what you paid for it if you don't like it and buy another 996TT for $10 to $20k+ less than you sold yours for (especially after the 997TT comes out).

Z8 market value is decieving, try to list a 01-02 for $100k+ and see what happens.
current owners won't let go for under 100k buyers won't move in over 85k=no Z8 sales.
Nice car sitting on my waiting list right after the CGT and Lambo Miura SV.

What happened to the 944T? I loved it last year at the autocross am am thinking of rebuilding my 914-6 for future track and autocross. Where did you get the trailer? I am looking for one.

David,

I have been looking for you. I sold the 944 and the trailer is for sale. I was looking to sell it to you since you told me you wanted to have both!!

So true!

I'm casually shopping for a Z8 to replace the Turbo, as it looks like it will be totalled. Personally wouldn't spend over $85-90k for one at this point, but I believe a sub 10k mile example would be a good buy at that number as far as resale and overall value....

Should hold me over till the M6 is out...

Ben lj really hit the nail on the head in his above description. And yes owners try to get $100k and the 2001's are worth high 80's low 90's retail, but, according to my friend who owns a BMW store in Chicago, prices haven't moved in a while. I bought mine at wholesale and he tells me that he would be surprised if I lost $7500 in 2 years!! Remember, they only made 2500 for the world, probably like 1200-1500 ever made it to the USA. The Z8 is a classic and God willing, I always want to own a Z8, it is a remarkable car that cannot be compared to a TT. Its just different. If you want to up performance, you can always get the Dinan S2 package. 470hp in a 3400 lb car should satisfy most. The dinan S2 M5 which weighs 4000lbs ran 4.2 to 60 and 12.6 1/4 mile according to C/D. I've owned an M5 and my Z8 is substantially faster, the Dinan S2 would probably run low 12's high 11's 1/4 mile. That's flying in my book..................

I thought the z8 was 3600 lbs, only 400 less than the m5. 3400 would put it under m3 weight, I don't think that is the case.
