Thats of course dependent on what turbo setup the Supra have .... to assume that all Supras have huge turbo lagg will be a mistake you dont do twice :-). With the new billett turbos that are entering the market you will be surprised what a little 67 can do now a days.

Ok guys...just a little update

Todd K just made 1060hp/800tq at 24psi (still there is more but injectors maxed out ) on one of his customer 997tt engine.
The tq curve is SICK...from 4800-7500 the tq curve is smooth between 750-800lbs/ft

I know top supra tuners hit 1200hp with 800's tq approx with also damn smooth curve until rev limiter

Will built 997tt be competitive against the king of highway ( i mean supra lol )

What do u think gents?

I dont see the need to choose between a Supra and a Porsche get them both :-) .
I have to admit that i also like Paulie.. see the biggest threat from TT Gallardos and mayby TT Murcis and Ford GT's. But then again you can make all cars superfast it just come down to drop some serious $ then even a Tata can be fast.

Rob, how does power under the curve help in a drag situation? I figure it is only in the first rollout gear that the power under the curve will help. Once you start banging gears you will be in the upper rpm ranges so it is not as much an issue. However, with twin turbos, you have less lag and faster spool up in each gear. I have driven a supra at VIR(only at about 600 bhp, very mild). Never drag'd against one in the 996tt, but did drag against that one in my old 951.

You're completly right it always comes down to money......why to choose

between your wife and your girlfriend.....have them both....but as you

said....you need to drop some serious money....and if both of them are

smoking hot...then you have to break your wallet...it also applys to Supra

and Porsche
