News Flash: Sedan will debut in Frankfurt
wow, would be nice if it has a 500hp twin turbo motor from the Cayenne. This thing will likely kill the M5 in performance. Looks to me like BMW wants to be MB lately and Porsche is going after the BMW business. If so, goodbye BMW!!
When is the Frankfurt show?

Looks like Porsche's response to a 575 Maranello. Similar lines...albeit 4 doors
edit: actually that would be an insult to the Maranello. Looks more like the Gaglietti

it'll sure be nice to get another non-sports car from the sports car company who doesn't race.
btw, best to wait until at least the 3rd model year if cayenne build quality is any guide.
I like it. That V8, even in normally aspirated form ought to be a great motor in a sedan with even a fraction of Porsche handling.
It's hard to believe it will be ready so soon however, as it's just been a rumor for a while.
Mrs. Coopers lease ends next year on the C4S, I can see this next to the Turbo in the garage...........

Incidentally Porsche DOES RACE. The 996 series race car is developed DIRECTLY from the car that we all drive. The 996 series racers even won OVERALL at Daytona two years ago against the new prototypes, and this year showed very strongly regardless of class. I think it is possible that we even get more benefit from the R&D side given the racing is done on near production model cars.
Would I like them to race in the higher classes? You bet!! But do they race, indeed they do, and they do it well.

V6: $60K
NA V8: $80K
TT V8: $120K
You can get a LOT of performance out of sedans at these price points, so Porsche is gonna have to step up to the plate on this one. I doubt that PAG will make a sedan go faster than their coupes, but the following 0-60 times are what would make sense in order to compete with the Quattroporte, AMG, and M-series:
The V6 would have to do 0-60 around 6sec.
NA V8 would have to do 0-60 in low-mid 5's.
TT V8 would have to do 0-60 in mid-high 4's.
