0-60
0-60
I know people don't really use the 0-60 for these cars that much for obvious reasons; however, I am wondering if anyone actually HAS timed this run.
I have a 05 TTS, EPL, Sachs stage 2 clutch, and DVs and am wondering what it would actually do 0-60. The stock 05 TTS does it in 3.8-4.0 depending on which reference source I use. Any thoughts? has anyone timed his own 0-60?

1st gear is useless at 3.89 and the torque limiter in the ecu is left in place by many tuners to keep the clowns from tossing out there rods. It is a 2 shift item to hit 60mph with stock gearing in a turbo.
2 shift do you mean hits 60 in 3rd gear?
The 0-60 is not really important to me with this car, but I do recall a 4.0 with my neighbor in the car. I think I have done a 3.6 or 3.7, but can't recall for sure...and my car is not stock. Times were measured with a Performance box.
Nope. 1st and you will need to pull 2nd.

I have done 3.8 and 3.9 0-60 MPH. Measured with PBOX. RWD on 19" PS2 street tires, manual on stock clutch, on the street. Unless you have a tip or drag radials I dont see it going much faster with ur power level on the street...

Seems a little too low for a 996 with just a tune and exhaust IMO, but I know the newer tt's can do it for sure. I also haven't really done an aggressive brake launch for fear of breaking something else...
You are right, i had a 16G and was a bit lighter when I starting hit the low 3's.
Do you have a tip? What are you worried about breaking? Depending on your brakes, they can only hold the car up to like 2300RPM (or like 0.3 bar depending on tune). The axles on the tiptronics are fat and can easily handle the power at that RPM.

IDK, I'm not an expert, but I've got a tune and exhaust with a tip and think that power breaking and launching this car is just an aweful lot of sudden torque and change of intertia that could spell troubles if done often. See also 09 GTR launch control before update. I could be wrong, but I still definately drive this car to its abilities, just timed 0-60 is not one I really care about too much.
I would be interested to hear if other owners with a flash and exhaust power break, and how often?
