New Y-Pipe Design

We recently completed this new 2.5" x 75mm Y-Pipe design. It features extended length feed tubes and is suitable for either OEM intercoolers or larger aftermarket units.

This one includes optional mounts for meth injectors and satin black powder coating for a clean OEM look.

Looks good. Is there a bead rolled on the TB side, the stock setup locks in the grooves. Do you have a pic of the under side?

Hi Tim,

No, a groove/bead is not necessary when you upgrade to the 75mm TB. You have to use larger, smooth silicon hose vs. the OEM hose with the molded lip for the larger throttle body. Once installed, there is no way for the hose to move out of place due to the tight fit and with a good clamp, it seals perfectly with smooth silicon hose. The smooth hose also provides the ability to trim the hose length as necessary for better for/aft adjustability and final fit. There is really no need for the lip. Sorry, I do not have an underside picture at this time.

If you purchase a Y-Pipe for the OEM TB, then we machine a groove in like the OEM version, in order to re-use the OEM connector. However, hardly anyone that buys an upgraded Y-Pipe will stick with the OEM throttle body. We have only sold one or two like that...

Here is a picture of the machined lip for the OEM hose.

Similar question.... but on the little small tubing... does the new version have the bead? Reason I ask is because I installed your older version for a client...
Im only suggesting that those2 tubes be cnc machined as well with a bead so the hoses do not fall off under higher boost....

We have not put beads on the two smaller hose nipples, as we have never had one pop off at up to 1.4 bar. They are pretty long and create a lot of hose friction, along with a solid clamping area. A good idea though, it would add a degree of security and we can easily do it, so why not...
