did my tail lights last week. looking pretty good with the slate gray. i didnt want them to dark cuz i think that only looks good on black cars.

 

they look good I thought about doing it but I would get hassled by the cops.

 

Well...read ur laws theres usually some pretty vague wording. I dont care what the cops think! Thats half the reason i got in my local volunteer fire department! For the plates!
My cousin actually painted these and said first things first "they hv to be legal"

How did they paint them ?

I ask, as I'm told it is not all that difficult, so I'm thinking of having mine done.

Ahh yes! The k24 fiasco! I bought it andshould be shipping. It wasnt easy to find a sigle K24.

Regarding the paint couple drops of black in the clear coat, 2 coats, and buff

I've had mine tinted for a year now, been pulled over about 6 times but never a mention of the tail lights.

I think the clear cut-out makes the difference 'cause the blinker and back-up light are stock brightness.
Most of the time the cops think they are some new design led lights
