help on a couple problems

HI all,

I have a 01 996tt that I purchased about 4 months ago. I have a couple issues I am unsure about.

1) when i start the car it takes about 15 seconds for the gauges to move off zero (they vibarate on zero). While waiting for the gauges to come on there is a clicking sound from behind the dash on the left side. When I turn the car off there is a clicking sound for about 10 seconds in the same location. Is this normal (I am guessing its not), any idea how to fix?

2) When I let the car set for several days the keyless entry (pushing the open/lock button on the key) will not work. I have to insert the key in the door to unlock the car. After I start the car the keyless entry works fine to lock and unlock the car. Could this be related to the bad door open/closed sensor (window doesnt drop 1/4 inch and stay down until door closed, another problem I need to fix)?

3) The car has an upgraded clutch, Flash and light weight flywheel. With the stock clutch hydralic system it was almost imposible to drive. I converted to a GT2 slave system and it works fine (100 times better than stock system). When I am trying to back up easy I get a lot of clutch judder. Going forward I dont get any. Any idea why (maybe engine/tranny mounts)?

Thanks,

John

On #2, your car is probably going into "battery saving" mode. I believe it's after 5 days, you have to use a key to open the doors. Check the manual -- but I think it's normal.

First question: abnormal, never heard of that kind of problem before...
Second question: Normal: see capture of owners manual:
