Will 245/45/18 tire fit in the front?

Trying to figure out the different front tire options for AWD 18" twists for my Nitto 555R 305/35/18 rears...

It looks like 245/45 and 255/40 work well, but I am not sure if they will rub or not.

My car is lowered on PSS10 (euro gt2 height)

Hi, I do not think so....Some 245/40/18s rub...And being lower increases the chance even more.......

they will rub a lot and just arent the correct setup!

for 245's up front use this sizing 245.35.18!

245's up front really help with braking and turn in.

Thanks but those won't work with my toyo 555r 305/35/18 rears (rolling diameter is like 790 vs the 245/35/18 of like 840

HI,Contrary to believe and all that has been written about maching dia. sizes......Which most of it has been theory.....I have personally ran 25.9 rear dia. and 25.4 front dia. tires for 20,000 miles, taken 2,000 mile road trips, gone 185 mph numerous times, gone 150 mph for many miles at a time, been on the dyno many times AND never had a failure......I am not saying it will never happen if you go way out of wack but I know .5 inch has not caused anything to happen.I have stated this in many past threads.I have talked to many Porsche mechanics on this topic and many PCA members who do this also..I have not SEEN nor heard of any failures from .5 inch tire dia. differences.....Just my info, that I am passing on.......Good Luck

I actually run NT555R 305/35/18 and converted RWD before doing so (235/40/18 FR). I figured I would gain a little extra hp but my trap speed was exactly the same before and after the conversion.

I want to switc back to AWD for more traction but in the same position as you and can't find a tire size that will not rub.

Yes but I already bought a set of 305 35 18 so I am trying to find something that will work...the 555r rears are already about half worn so that should reduce the height a tad

The consensus is to stick with 235/305 so until the rears wear out, I'd stick with 235/305. I'm probably going to go 245/315 once my fronts wear out but my rears are almost done while my fronts have another cycle on them.

With the X50 package I was very happy to step up 10 mm front/rear and I'm definitely thinking I could use another 10mm. My clutch is probably the only real concern, but oh well, I want the traction! I ran the 225/295 for one cycle and it's not enough tire for an X50. After 10k+ miles on 235/305 I'm looking at up stepping up again.

So what is the widest tire that we can run up front w/o any fitment issues?
