*edit* I forgot to ask but did you quantify the weight loss of the carbon roof? Did you use the GMG version or the Getty Design one (or other)? Thanks!
The old roof was 44lbs. I used a Vorsteiner carbon which weighed 14lbs with new custom headliner. 30lbs savings.

It's not loud at all (10% louder than stock). I took out all the sound deadening as well with a heat gun. Without any carpet and padding though I could hear every little sound the engine and tranny made. Pretty annoying on the daily.

Timothykee is infamous around these parts
May I know how to remove the vertical leather covered trim just below the rear window?
Does it just pull out? Any screws please?

How did you get the carpet out so clean?
Isnt it glued to the car body?
I like the stripped look

I finally did it too. The sound without the carpet and „blubber“ stuff is so much better. Its like sitting in a race car.

I pulled my carpet out and shaved the blubber from the back and reinstalled it. Still looks like a road car, but sounds like race car inside without the foam and insulation

Rear seat belt delete will save you a few lbs as will wiper delete, I've done both as well. I imagine car looks funny with no carpet and still having belts in back

I have a full GT2 interior in my car. The carpeting is significantly lighter than the TT carpets as it's made out of a thinner material. I additionally shaved the insulation off the back of the carpet and what's left is light as a feather, less than 10lbs for the 3 rear pieces. If I were to remove the carpets I would take the car in and have the interior sprayed so that it has a nice uniform body color appearance which it currently does not have as the factory only applies a bare bones coat on the interior.

Was.. Black now. Actually black/grey. All the carpeting, door covers, and rear side covers are black. I kept the dash, A, B, and C pilars grey which gives the interior a two tone appearance, black on the bottom, grey up top. I have all the rest of the black pieces it I wanna go full black but I like the two tone for now.
