I am buying the oil (100euro) but I do the service at the dealer, 400-500euro...

Hey 152 using Motul is a VERY fair price...

Alex, try to find a good indipendent.....leave the stealership.....just about anyone can do an oil change on our cars. 400€ for labor and (maybe) a filter is criminal!!!!

I've been told around 5k miles as well...the indie I inquired from uses Motul as well...he told me that interval for oil and filter.

Yeah, I know Ema but it is very important to have all the services done at the "stealership" for when you will want to sell the car, to have a history of it.

You're right, but you can have them do the job once evry two years or 20k km as suggested in the owner book. Then do your own changes in between, every 6-7k..

What's the "pump seal"?? EDIT, found it, it's a washer for the oil tank.

BTW, I don't want to hijack, but has anyone got the part number for the Rear Main Seal???I will be doing a clutch job so I could change it if it's leaking..Thanks!

Just in case anyone is interested, there is a DIY on oil changes for this particular engine block - a little different on the 997 (as they do not have drain bolts on the turbochargers) but fairly similar and straightforward.
