Just purchased my first porsche!

I thought I would introduce myself as this is my first big purchase even though it's a 10 year old car. The car is a 2001 Seal Gray 996tt. No mods other than a B&M Short shifter and new DV's. All major maintenance is up to date. Previous car was a 2004 STi with 20g/meth/ewg which put down around 400whp/420wtq. Here is a pic:

Future mods include:

1. Rear wing fix to manual pump and leave it at top position. (eBay)
2. 2nd gear popout detent fix
3. Flash (Will adding K&N filter and exhaust later require me to get a retune?)
4. Exhaust (Mind set on Markski's race exhaust)
5. Tires+Pads for track. Michelin PS2's

Thank you Quick question: Who would you recommend for a reflash of the chip? Is anyone running specials at this time? I saw EPL doing one for $9xx earlier, not sure if that's still going on..

My favorite color!

I've got the EVOMSit flash and have been very pleased with it. Can you tell me more about the mod to fix the wing in the up position? Also, is there a 2nd gear pop out issue or does this prevent it from occurring? Enjoy the ride!

if you get a flash then do exhaust later you will need to re-flash

Congrats! I also just got mine the other day. If you are like me you must have taken it for a few spins already as I have been using any excuse to leave the house and drive it around lol.

EPL has EXCELLENT software. I run it in my 996TT. Did you purchase this car from MI?

It's an ebay fix to replace the hydraulic pump and put in a mechanical one (manual one) that you adjust using a tool. This way it's set to your desired height at all times and no nagging sloping spoiler The 2nd gear popout only happens slowing down to a halt at a traffic light but still pretty annoying, thinking about getting the $90 detent fix and hopefully it helps =\

Noted on the K&N. 911tuning has the BMC filter as part of the flash process, are these better for our cars? Thanks.

You know it! But living in michigan...30 degree weather still in spring bodes no fun on summer tires on icy roads so been babying her. Can't wait till the first 40+ degree day to hit some twisties

Question for you: would I have to reflash my ecu if I replaced my stock exhaust with a markski race one in the future? And yes I purchased it from Michigan from Charlie Do you know this car?

56xxx miles, but she has been well taken care of minus the usual rear wing and 2nd gear popout issues.
