New parts for the turbo!

Ok, that's a total lie. But the cost of this little sucker was about the same as a set of turbos/tune or a good set of wheels/tires and is a whole lot more bang for the buck. The car has a troubled past and is nowhere near perfect BUT god dang is it a blast to drive.

If any other turbo owners are looking at accessories to make your porsche owning experience more fun, let me recommend buying a boxster instead. Honestly, on the tight city streets this car is more fun than the turbo and you can't build a go-cart for what these things are going for. Time for a P diet!

Hmmm....I may have to re-think my 911 plans. I've been looking at 2003-2005 911's, but I've always wondered whether a Boxster or Cayman would be a better choice for a strictly-street car.

Former boxster guy here. My old 01 boxster s was extremely fun to drive (no where near as fast, of course, but in terms of pure fun, I'd say it had the edge on any other p-car I've owned).

Sorry that might be fun, but if you put $7K into big snails for your 996tt your going to have a hell of good time too!

A friend of mine just bought a MINT 30K miles BoxsterS for $12K

Having owned several 996/997 turbos, etc... he had the same exact sentiment about the driving fun delivered by the Boxsters.

I have had a Boxster S i drove for a little while, its a ton of fun but such a cramped car imo but they are a ton of fun to drive and easy to push to there limits vs the Turbo.

Not quite true, While I don't own a mid engine Porsche, they are are supposed to be some the best handling cars

Yeah, that's called entertainment. A string of catchy punch lines.

AND it's not really applicable here seing that I own a turbo. This I can say though- since I wrote that post, I have opted for the boxster over the turbo 90% of the times that I approached my garage for in town errands.

My 03 Boxster S has been a lot of fun. One of the best cars I have owned. I hate to part with it but I need the space. Although I love my 996tt it still does not handle like my Boxster S. I know you will have fun with it NOLA911. I can't wait to see what u do with it.

Hey Gemlender, pretty sure the new ride will put some smiles on your face when you hear that sweet italian exhaust.

Just wrapped up the interior fit up-

Well, almost finished. thinking of going with a cup or momo steering wheel. Also just ordered a couple more carbon bits.
