billet dv's or evoms or even baileys will always be better than the bosch 710n. let alone oem 710a. I've never even heard of 710P? maybe thats the newest circa 2011 lol
just get some good aftermarket ones, and you'll probably never need to change em. I've had evoms for YEARS.
710Ns hold boost better and last longer than 710Ps, take this as friendly advice from someone who has probably sold/installed over 2 tousand pairs of 710Ns in the last 5 years
The reason there is confusion is, this used to be 100% true. If you get Kayser (not Bosch) 710n's which is all that seems to be available anymore, the above quote just isn't true. There is another thread here started about 6 months ago on the topic. Many people including me replaced their stock DV's with 710n's because they were supposed to be superior.
The problem with the Kayser 710n is that it will almost immediately start "honking" and this is the sound of a DV that is performing sub optimally and on the brink of failure. I let this go on far too long before finally getting a pair of Evoms billet DV's and I couldn't believe what a huge difference in drivability and power delivery they made. They also didn't sound like I had a flock of geese trapped in the engine compartment
I should mention that my car is tuned for 1.5bar normally so this may have contributed to speed at which the failure of my 710n's occurred. At 1bar, they could last significantly longer but beware of the honk!
It doesn't look like you can buy the Bosch version. I looked into this issue awhile back also. Kayser replaced Bosch, and all stock seems to be gone for Bosch. Kayser took it over at "N" revision. And now seems they have made 2 more revisions and are on "P". From what I can read, they upgraded the diagram. If you had an old working one, I suspect you could do some kind of comparison. No one seems to have done it. I bought a couple for back-up, but never switched them out, as of yet.
As you can see it is an Audi, who knows where they actually come from?
