I love straight pipes but wish there was a bypass valve that would hold up to the extreme heat so i didn't have to change when going to the track. Push of the button is what I dream of.

After about 6 months with straight pipes (TOO LOUD), I'm now running with Tubi Style exhaust , I'm still not happy with it, in the long run, I'm going back to OEM.

Seems there are a few folks putting a 100 or 200cel cat inline... for emissions, but has anyone tried a small muffler/resonator?

I'm looking to add a bit more volume but a few of the comments on the straight thru pipes has me wondering how quickly I will get tired of it. Hence the question on if a cat or muffler inline helps smooth it out a bit.

I loved my fabspeed straight pipes--esecially for the track. You can hear the engine with the helmet on. I just sold my turbo, and am going to be posting the fabspeeds for sale soon in the classified section soon.

Inspired by Blocky I just ordered the FVD pipes and should receive in next week in time for a track day at Infineon. After reading several other Straight Pipe threads on this forum I'm not optimistic this exhaust will last long on my car. But can always resell when done- MREs pipes sold in 3.5mins!!

For some reason, every Porsche Turbo I have ever heard with straight pipes sounds like a forklift with an exhaust leak, or like it's running under water.
