Question How Many Miles Do your Tires Last?

I have 7000 miles on my car, about 3000 of those miles, i had my HRE's, so i figure...
I have ran about 4000 miles on my stock Michelins, which are on my car currently...

I barely have any tread left on both the rear tires, and the front ones look ok so far.

no track or burning rubber, or any kind of crazy driving except controlled cruises at supersonic speeds
is this normal?

the tires seem awfully short lived!

so... how many miles before a tire change?

In 10,000 miles I have gone through about 5 or 6 sets of
tires, but I may be unusual...

~7000 miles for my rears. The fronts last 2-3 times longer (in my case).

this is most excellent . the old adage comes to mind: use it or lose it.

mine have lasted 7000k plus and are still going strong.

are yours worn evenly across the tire or on the insides? if uneven wear you may get better longevity from a different setup.

15,003 total miles.

I'm on the 3rd set of rears. Fronts last twice as long.

I bet the average I see is 8-12k for the rear, and fronts every other time.

definitely uneven! bald on the inside, receding tread line towards the outside.

fronts look ok.

so what does that mean?
