Just upgraded my brake system

I just spend the morning upgrading my stock brakeset to 6-Pot caliper (GT3) 997TT Girodisc rotors and Hawk HPS pads on the front. For the rear, 997TT Girodisc rotors, original calipers with 12mm spacers and Cool Carbon rear pads. Braided hoses all around and a full fluid flush.

I haven't taken it for a test drive yet, as my wife wanted me to spend time with her, but I will bed and test drive by Monday.

I've got the CC pads as well and like them a lot. They recommended matching fronts and backs (not mixing). Did they make pads in your front size?

Sounds nice. Looking forward to some pics (or seeing it in person in a future Bay Area drive). Uh -- couldn't your wife join you for a nice drive? (two birds with a stone thing....).

Sounds like a nice brake combo Rich. Should be a nice mod for stopping all that power you've got. Looking forward to checking it out. Did you do the work yourself? How long it take?

Anxious to hear how it drives!

I've had good luck with the Hawk in the past - wanted to try them again, but they didn't have rears available, so I went with CC.

Thanks - but I only test drive by myself for safety reasons in case I FUBAR'd something.

Thanks Eric - Yes, I did it myself and it took me longer than I thought. I estimated 4 hours, but it took me about 6.

Thanks Mike. Braking is good and solid once pads are heated up. I am having difficulties with the E-Brake. But I think I know what I need to do to resolve that part.

Very nice Rich! Girodisc is on my list when I need to replace the rotors.

I'd like to know about the parking brake problem as well. I've been using Girodiscs on the front for the last year but still have 997TT rotors on the rear until they crack, then I want to get the Girodiscs for the rear.
