Hello Guys,
I am looking to pick up a carbonetic clutch in the next couple of days. The reason I post it here is because you guys have far more experiences with this clutch than 997tt guys according to my research.
I did some search and seems like there are numbers of people here had it a couple years back.
So, let's hear your feeback.
How is it holding up?

I have this clutch and its great. It does have on/off feel and high engagement point but other than that no issues. When the clutch is depressed it does make a subtle noise but its normal. It has never slipped and holding up great. Hope that helps.
Thanks a lot! It really helps!
I can live with the on/off feel of the engagement point as I don't drive the car daily nor in heavy traffic. I heard that if you do a force break in, the engagement point will drop a bit.
How many miles do you have on it so far?

Thanks guys! I wanted to get modded VTGS for a while, but now I really want to get those Alpha turbos because they are so easy to install; they can make much more power than vtgs. I haven't decided on 28 or 30 yet; I will have to talk to Todd K. first and see what he recommends.
I think there are 2 pressure plates for this clutch, 1150kg and 1350kg.

Get the heaviest plate you can. Its does not change the pedal feel at all. I would also recommend going with the gt2 slave. Also if you shorten the the push rod it will lower the pedal engagement. One of the easiest clutches I every drove.
had mine for about 4k miles and love it. there is a quick way of breaking them in when you first install it. it keeps it from grabbing so hard you die out on take of
pm me and i'll walk you through it
like tim said, you have to shorten the pushrod on the slave so the release point won't be so high.

Guys, Thanks very much for the tips.
As for the rod to cut, which one are you guys talking about? how much should i cut it? I don't have the clutch yet, so nothing to look at now.
pinoy911tt : Is it force break in some people have been talking about here ? I guess this clutch can hold the power from Alpha 30 all day and all night.
