My May budget is what ever she fritters in April! And the woman can spend so the lug bolts won't be an issue..... Or the new airbox... and the new gas cap....

Why would you spend $500 on a set of lugs that will have no real performance benefit (unsprung weight diff is insignificant in this case) and no one will ever notice?

I'll buy you lunch if some stranger ever comes up and says "wow, nice lugs"

Who needs a friggen excuse to improve your car? The bolts subtract almost a full pound of unsprung weight per wheel and are very cool looking. You got those obviously fake center caps and no one is busting your *** for an appearance mod. At least this one offers some performance improvement. Bugger off.

Yep, my center caps are fake. At least you don't have to get on the ground and look in a hole to see "Titanium" is written on them.

One pound of unsprung wieght. Big fuggin' deal. Ain't know way you'll ever notice the difference. I've ridden race bikes with magnesium wheels, etc... and that was only marginaly noticeable.

I could really give a **** what you spend your money on. It'll match that gas cap. How about some kevlar seat belts and titanium dash buttons to save a few more ounces off our already chubby cars? Check out the emperor's new clothes

Anyone weighed them? How much is the difference compared to the stock? I know that TSB 4407authorizes the lighter/shorter head(14.5mm vise the 16.5mm head) lugs bolts 996-361-203-02

A weight savings of a pound per wheel and only $500, what a great deal.
Drive naked if you need weight savings that much, you'll save more weight and it will cost you nothing.

I purchased the bolts for one simple reason: they are superior to the stock bolts. That is a fact, and only a fool would dispute it. And I happen to enjoy improving my car in small and large ways. I could care less if any stranger notices or appreciates them.

So the analysis is the same as with anything we consider purchasing. Do I want it? Can I afford it? For me, is the value worth the expense? If the answers are yes, I buy it. If they aren't, I don't. Very simple; end of story. The answers may be different for you than they are for me, but who gives a crap? I wouldn't wear a watch with diamonds on it, but I don't believe tha someone who does has wasted his money -- they have simply made a different choice than I would make. I wouldn't put fake center-locks on my wheels, but if that's your choice God bless you.

Most people would think that buying a Porsche is a waste of money. We buy them because we value superior performance. I bought titanium lug bolts because I value a superior product that improves, in small measure, my car. If you don't want them don't buy them. But don't tell me I've wasted my money. That's just stupid.

On looks alone, I'm sure that they look a 100% better than the factory bolts. Would I pay $500 for them? Probably will if I see them infront of me.

EDIT: just noticed that it's my 911th post.
