996 TT and shades of Grey ?

The year in question is '02...
Polar Silver
Arctic Silver
Seal Grey
Titanium Grey( ? ) This is what i am inquiring about. It seems like it's lighter than seal grey..
How is this color in person ?
Where do you look for the paint code on a 996 TT ?
Thanks

There should be a tag with a paint code under the front hood.

I think there was only Seal Gray and Slate Gray?

here are Boxster colors...not sure if Porsche had specific colors for specific models...

Given that it's a 9 year old car, they're all close enough that I would think other factors (condition, options, etc.) would drive the decision. It's not like a new car where there's enough inventory and choice to just pick your color. (BTW, mine is seal grey).

Those were the two 'standard options'... but you could order ANY porsche color they ever painted- AND you could custom color.

Meridian was a dark silver, between seal and silver. FYI

That color chart is terrible for trying to tell the difference between the silvers and grays. My car is polar silver for reference. Not very many 996tt in polar silver out there though.

Having seen Eric's polar silver in person, I must say that it's a very sweet color. Out of all the colors, polar silver is special in that it really does look different depending on the lighting conditions and sun angle.

Have to disagree totally on that IMHO. I think color is the first choice. It may make the search more tedious. I would say color, miles, options. U can always add carbon fiber or new seats or what ever but changing car color is crazy. The more difficult or expensive it is to change the more important it should be. But thats just me. I hv slate gray but speed yellow was a very close second choice

That might be your priority -- but my point is that if you're looking for a used car, you just don't have as many choices since every car will be different. It's not like new cars where the only differences are the options and the color, but the condition is all the same -- i.e. new. For a used car, you're looking at condition, mileage, maintenance history, etc. If you throw color as a top priority, you could be looking forever.

I'd recommend a couple of color choices, and if you find a car that fits all your criteria except it's your second choice color (especially if we're talking about different shades of silver/grey), I'd move on it. Otherwise -- you'll just keep looking while we're all driving.....
