How to tell which ECU flash I have?

I have a 2001 Turbo which I am the second owner. Car originates from the New Jersey area. The previous owner had had a performance ecu flash installed. I do not have any information as to which flash it is. Is there a way to tell which flash was installed?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Andy

I would think this would be quite difficult unless there is some way to tag a flash with encoding that would tell you.

I usually have a few things that I do to tunes (AEM tuning) that I am able to tell if a tune is mine or not, and I am sure other shops may be able to look at your tune and tell you, but that would defeat the purpose of your question I am sure.

Just an idea: you could email your VIN to some of the more common tuners (EVOMS, UMW, EPL, Switzer, GIAC, Protomotive, etc.) and have them cross-reference their records...? Might work, might not.

YOur not going to find out that easily,... if at all....

Tuners do not have time to go thru paperwork trying to find if its their tune.... some probably outsource as is and it becomes even more difficult.. if the car runs good enjoy and forget about it lol

I would disconnect the battery... re try... if it doesn't work ( BTW the Eprom is flashed with one file usually... how is it stuck (in your opinion) in stock mode? do they offer stock and tuned files on one ecu? where are coming up with this logic?
