225/45/18 Tire

Can anyone tell me if a 225/45/18 tire will fit on the front with stock turbo twist wheels. Car is on stock suspension. I'm looking to pair them up with a 335/30/18 rear and they are both 25.9" in diameter with identical 803 rotations per mile to keep the AWD happy, I'm just unsure if the taller tire will fit...

It's a bit tall, but I do sell them and they don't come back. So I guess it works OK. Remember, if AWD and you do it up front you have to do it in the back, too. Everything has to be within 4%, and should be within 2.

Damon, tirerack.com shows a massive delay on the 225/45/18 KDW. Is this true? I'm looking to pair the 225/45/18 KDW with the 335/30/18 KDW on the rear. They are both 25.9 tall and have identical roations per mile so the AWD should remain happy.

HI,,I have been running 285/35/18 [25.9] rears and 235/40/18[25.4] fronts for over 20,000 miles non-stop highway trips, countless dyno runs and numerous 185mph jaunts with No problems ...I have had Porsche mechanics tell me not to worry about it because .5 inches is not enough to cause damage...I know there is alot of theories on here but I am giving you real world results from my experience....So,I have not had any problems,,,yet-so far,,,,lol,,,....Good Luck with your decision..

There is also a 245/40/18 which is 25.7 diameter which I assume would work ok with the 25.9 diameter 335/30.

Yikes, well I test fit a 225/45/18 and its rubbing when turning all over the place in the front. Has anyone fit this tire?

How about a 245/40/18? That would make my front wheel 25.7" tall and my rear 25.9". The rear tire seems to have plenty of room but doesn't have the turning issues to deal with.

I have 245/40/18 on a 18x8.5 +40 wheel and don't have any issues.

The 335/30/18 fits fine in the back on factory 18x11 wheels. I came from a 2003 Cobra so I like the large tire on the supposidly to small wheel. I have to order 245/40s to replace my 225/45s as that tire is just to tall for the front.

I'm more worried about the front diff. the 225/45 and 335/30 combo was a perfect 25.9 front and rear. I will now be 25.7 front and 25.9 rear which worries me as factory tires are within .1

The 335 fits on the rear with a stock 18x11 wheel but the car is on stock suspension. It is very close to the fender liner. A 7MM spacer would probably add some clearance if needed.

I run a 12" rear wheel ET45 with a 315/30-18 Hankook RS3 with a 15mm spacer... total offset is 30mm no rub with or without the spacer. I think with the right offset it will fit...

BTW that's 25.7" tall in the rear with a 265/35-18 in front on a 9.5" wheel.

What is your offset on the front 9.5" wheel? Also, where did you get a Hankook RS3 tire in a 315/30/18???? The Hankook website does not show it made in that size and tire rack told me they don't show it either. They only show the front 235/40/18 for the front or the 265/35/18.

What exactly are you trying to achieve with a 335 tire in the rear which will only make the inherent understeer in the car worse and add needless unsprung weight to the rear as a 335 tire is generally about 3 pounds heavier than a 315?
