Going back to stock exhaust, how much power loss??
Ive had my car about 6 weeks now, and it has the first generation Fabspeed exhaust with 100cell cats installed. I use this car mainly as a daily driver, and can no longer stand the drone, and the vibration from the exhaust note. My car is a TIP, so at 75 the RPMs are around 2100 RPM, right where the drone is the loudest. I was wondering how much power i am going to lose going back to the stock exhaust. My mods are, EVOMS cold air intake, EVOMS intercoolers, stock k16 turbos, Standard issue DVs, upgraded boost hoses, and EPL 1.0 bar tune.
Also, what could i expect so sell a first generation Fabspeed exhaust with 100 cell cats for? I am also thinking about taking the intercoolers off also, so what would be a good asking price for those with the boost hoses?

Did EPL dyno tune your car for those mods? If you take off the IC's and exhaust you may need a retune as well. Call Tony
I bet you can get about 800-1k for the exhaust. What IC's from evoms do you have?
I would expect you to lose at least 30 whp from the exhaust, and some more from the IC's when the car heatsoaks the stock ones. So perhaps 10%?

intercoolers are clubsports. Ive heard that you dont really even need intercoolers unless you are running some nasty upgraded turbos. I was hoping for about a 15rwhp loss in HP, if i put the stock exhaust on, i will be gutting the factory Cats, and doing the bypass mod on the exhaust.

If you go back to the stock exhaust most of your other power mods become useless. I'd look for an aftermarket exhaust that sounds the way you want it to. The youtube vids are really aren't that useful. You need to go for a drive in a car that has the exhaust your interested in.
SNOWCZAR.... there is NO drone at all? How does it sound? exoic sounding? loud ? I know exhausts on our TIPS sound different then on a 6 speed car... any soundclips?
I had a Europipe Stage 2 Quiet, with a UMW flash. I loved the sound, however, my wife and (less importantly) my neighbors did not.
You will lose all of your low end torque going back to stock. Even though I still have the flash, it feels like stock again
.
Kevin just shipped me his Wastegate/Actuators upgrade which he says will give me a little more oomph. We'll see.

I can tell if you gutting the cats from the stock exhaust, it will also drone....I did that and then switch to the fabspeed, not surpise the fabspeed is more drone, but it has awesome sound outside, I am very fine on this trade off :P
I've run five different exhausts on my car in the 4.5 years I've had it... I FINALLY found what I feel is the perfect SUB $3000 exhaust system... Contact John at Speedtech and talk to him about his Xcellerator QUIET. I was in your shoes long ago, with the Fabspeed... And three other systems... Don't expect I'll be swapping out exhausts anymore... The wife is even happy with it... And when I "commute" in it, it's a 150 RT to my customer's location. This car now is actually fun as a daily driver without the headaches and with the ability to talk on the cellphone or listen to the stereo on LOW volume.
Had this system for well over a year now, with 5K miles on it... This one is the "right" one... for me, anyway!
