The spoiler is held up with hydraulic pressure and held down with a spring in the rams. If you wanted to leave it down all you need to do is disconnect the two microswitches on the right side ram, disconnect the connector on the hydraulic pump in the deck lid, and disconnect the spoiler switch in the dash (if this is not done and the switch was pressed you would get the warning light in the dash). Doing the above will keep the spoiler down with no associated warning lights. There is no need to buy the GT2 harness and if you ever wanted to reactivate the spoiler all you would need to do is reconnect everything. I do not know if you could keep the spoiler up permanently because as soon as the hydraulic pressure would leak down the springs in the rams would start to retract the blade. There is someone on ebay that sells a kit to replace the rams with fixed posts and you can set it any any height you want. The stock blade by the way only ads about 8lb of down force at top speed so for all practical purposes is quite useless.

I've been looking for that kind of data on the various wings and front bumpers, because I've been thinking about changing mine. Where did you get the 8 lb figure, and have you seen data for some of the other spoiler combos?

Here is one link...there are others. Do a search for wing codes and they should come up.
