2002 996TT in Longwood FL
2002 996TT in Longwood FL
Hi guys, I've been lurking for a while and I'm looking to pick up a 996TT. I've owned a Cayenne S for a while but this will be my first 911.
Not set on color but I've been tempted by a few that are Speed Yellow. Don't want black or silver...
There are a few out there and one down in Florida seems reasonable:

I'm looking for stock (maybe to mod later). Anyone know this car or have any experience with Millenia Motors? The other threads I've seen seem to indicate a good experience.
I'm up in CT so any advice on a remote purchase would be really helpful.
Thanks!
Dave

Any thoughts on what the 2002 in Longwood might be worth? They're asking $51,999 with some flexibility.
While researching I also saw the same car from an older listing at Park Place Porsche in Dallas TX. This is where Millenia bought the car from.

The car is listed at $47,900 there. I don't know what typically happens to the price when the car goes from dealer to dealer but I'm guessing Millenia got it for quite a bit less than asking at Park Place.
I chatted with the guy from Millenia and the only thing I didn't like so far is that there are no service records other than whats in the CarFax (4 owners listed with only a couple of service items). I'm thinking of calling Park Place to see if there is any additional info.

The price seems a little high based on my research from a couple of months ago where a suggested retail value was around 49K and a PP sale was around 44K for a stock '02. The pricing calculator void of the '07 crisis says around 47K. I am sure the seller in FL is trying to make a few thousand +. Good luck. And BTW, to ground you, I had found an '02 I was looking for and it sold under my nose for ~53K PP sale but it had x50 and aero package. I am still kicking myself for not jumping on it fast.

just for your information, I bought my car at a dealer. I made them an offer, they said no and tried to get me to offer them more. I said no, sorry, the price they were asking was out of my price range. Then I left. A week later, the salesmen called me and told me i could have it for my original offer..
Dave,
We're close by to Millenia Motors and if you're intersted in having the car inspected, we could coordinate an independent prepurchase inspection of the car. Our Porsche tech would go through it, top to bottom and let you know if we find anything that the car needs.
If you're interested in modifactions now, or at a later date, we would be happy to help you there too.
Give me a call or shoot me an email if we can help out and good luck in your search for a Turbo!

Are you still looking?? I know a close friend who just bought 04TT with 6600 miles. The car doesn't suit his need/lifestyle and is already selling it?? PM me for more info if your interested.- best looking used 1 owner car I ever had seen, still has plastic wrapping on parts of the interior, owned by a 70+ year old man who thought it was to loud. GT silver
Thanks for all the input guys. I ended up buying the car from Millenia. Mike was a great guy to deal with. He's very knowledgable (pca instructor) and went through the car head to toe via pics before I made the deal.
I had the car PPI'd by Zotts and it passed with no problem. The only issue I had with the whole process was with the tires. The rears were really worn (more than was indicated by the dealer and PPI). I ended up replacing them on my trip home with the car. I flew down to Florida and drove it back to CT last week.
Other than the tires, the car is incredible!

... Now THAT would make me just a little wary.
